The Position:

Join the fun in the full time role of Human Resources Coordinator and be supported by the HR Manager and Payroll/Rostering Manager. In this position, you will partner with a small HR team to coordinate HR activities to effectively record, maintain and report human resource information in the area of employee recognition, payroll, training and development, legal compliance, administration and other HR related business.

Position Responsibilities:  

There are varied duties for this position including, but not exclusive to, the following:

• Contribute to HR practices and processes within an operational context;
• Provide support services to internal partners surrounding HR related policies and practices.
• Coordinate large-scale recruitment and onboarding activities with a focus on frontline operational roles
• Maintain personnel and recruitment records as well as maintaining the applicant tracking database. 
• Assisting in the research and development of HR projects and programs.
• Coordinate and set-up team member training
• Oversee employee recognition and service programs and assisting in preparation of team member recognition events
• Perform payroll processing support
• Contribute to HR related posts on social media channels
• Perform HR administrative and compliance tasks
• Act as temporary relief for Corporate reception desk as required

Selection Criteria:

• Proven generalist HR experience preferably gained in a fast-paced Hospitality environment
• End to end recruitment experience
• Experience with applicant management technology
• Acute accuracy and attention to detail is critical

• Payroll experience with large volume manual data entry is an advantage
• Experience in interpreting and applying enterprise agreement and/or industrial award conditions
• Demonstrated success providing HR support
• Ability to foster quality interactions at all levels
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Discipline to protect and work with confidential information
• Professional, patient, personable with positive, can-do attitude
• Well-developed organisational and time management skills
• Analytical approach to understanding data and driving outcomes
• Focus on continual improvement and enhancement of processes
• Apply initiative and sensitivity to HR matters
• Training experience an advantage
• Flexibility to work additional hours as required in line with business activity is required
• Photoshop or basic graphic design experience desirable
• Social media savvy desirable
• RSA certificate or willingness to obtain one
